BAND INFO
Hello Rockers and Rollers and those just interested in this web page.
Now I know what your thinking, you needed an operation so you thought you would look on the internet to find the cheapest place that would give you a triple bypass surgery, Well sorry we can't help you there, but if you're into good old fashioned aggressive music, And not this silly assed rap dance Hip hop flip flop or whatever you want to call that no mind music that anyone with a computer and Fruity Loops can make, Then you've come to the right place. First of all let me just take a minute or twenty (depending on how fast you read) to tell you a little bit about Triple Bypass (the band, not the medical procedure).
Triple Bypass actual started out as a duo back in 1994 with Mark on bass and vocals, Brian on guitar and a little beat box for a drummer (enter Paul, that's me). One night while out on the town I decided to check out some of the local talent and found myself down at Solly's neighborhood pub where these two guys where playing some great tunes, but I could feel something was missing. Well being a skilled drummer for many years (see Paul's page for history), I quickly picked up on the fact that they did not have a drummer, which is something only a person of my experience would be able to detect. So after listening to (Double Bypass) for a couple of sets, I told them they could really benefit from having a real drummer. Well they didn't really go for the idea right away but when they found out that I had a full P.A. system and light show, they quickly became my best friends, and after some deliberation I decided to volunteer my services at a flat rate of only 33.3% of whatever the band makes. They accepted my offer and Triple Bypass was born and is still going strong. We have had some great opportunities playing for various functions such as Grad, ski patrol dances, weddings, private party's, (not to mention playing most of the local bars on any given weekend) and many other situations, which has forced us to adapt to any environment and have a diverse enough set list (check out the set list page) to accommodate any function. Keeping mostly local, we have ventured out on the road occasionally playing the Terrace hotel and some of the outlying villages, as well as venturing up to Yellowknife for a month in the dead of winter. If you don't think hell freezes over, you haven't been to Yellowknife. -66 below and no daylight for a month is something I think everyone in Prince Rupert should experience, then I don't think we would complain about the rain so much,(queue laugh track) HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!. So if your looking for a good time or you just want to listen to some good old rock in roll, or something new, come check us out, I'm sure you can find us playing somewhere in town.
One more thing to mention, we are repeatedly asked "when are you guys going to put out a CD"? Well, it's almost done, we are shooting for Sept.2003, just got some vocals and some icing to put on top then voila, presto, in the bag. So until then, keep checking for updates, and we hope to see you out and about, and remember to always support your local musicians. YOU CAN'T KILL ROCK AND ROLL.
